We start the Kathmandu Pokhara Tour 3 Night 4 Days by exploring the ancient architecture of Kathmandu in the Durbar (Palace) Squares of the ancient towns of Kathmandu and Patan.
The temples, stone, and wood carvings are outstanding and stretch back centuries. We will also take you to the living heritage sites of Swayambunath and Boudhanath (both Buddhist stupas) and the Hindu site of Pashupathinath, the site of the holiest Hindu temple and burning ghats. In the evening, enjoy a typical Nepali dinner at a cultural show.
The next day, drive or fly to Pokhara. The journey by road is long (7 to 8 hours) but scenic and exciting. Once in Pokhara, breathe in the fresh air coming directly from the Annapurnas.
You will be staying near the lake in Lakeside, so the view of Fishtail is constantly within your gaze. Depending on your availability, there are a number of places to visit within Pokhara.
On a short trip, we will take you boating, stopping at Tal Barahi Temple in the middle of the lake, then across the lake to the Peace Stupa.
Take a short hike up the hill and watch the sunset from the Peace Stupa over the lake below.
Next morning, we will take you to watch the sunrise from Sarangkot viewpoint before we drive or fly back to Kathmandu.
