Overview

Situated close to the Annapurna Circuit Trail, there are two summits to Chulu – being Chulu East and Chulu West.  Permits are required for both separately. We are offering Chulu West, which is not overly difficult for experienced climber, and takes 5 or 6 days, and to an altitude of 6,419m.

The trail to the climb starts from Ledar, part of the Annapurna Circuit Trek, and takes us to Chulu West Base Camp, onto Camp I where we acclimatize before pushing on to Camp II before a very early morning start to summit Chulu Peak West.  The mountains we can see on this climb are Chulu West, Dhaulagiri, and Annapurna I.

Best time for this peak: March to April / October to November
