Overview
This can be considered a family rafting trip. Two days of the relatively calm river (Grade III rapids in places), passing through beautiful countryside, and ending near Chitwan National Park where you can extend your visit – heaven! Terraced rice fields, interesting villages, waterfalls, jungle vegetation, and water that is not too cold is what this trip has in store for you.
Itinerary
Day 01: Starting at Damauli, around 50km east of Pokhara, today there is plenty of time to swim in the river as well as experience rapids and enjoy the wildlife and birdlife of this area. Camp on the beach; just perfect for children to experience sleeping out under the stars.
Day 02: Today the river merges with the Trishuli River, where we meet some more Grade III rapids. The landscape changes to that of the lowlands, known as the Terai. When we stop for lunch we can explore Devi Ghat, a religious area of the river. Now we meet the Narayani River and float into the ending point near Narayanghat. From here you can head to Chitwan National Park for a jungle safari! Again, perfect for families and everyone else too!
