Overview

Our short Pokhara tour is perfect for those people who have limited time, want to relax around the Lake after a trek. The trek is also for those who are here on business and want to see something of the countryside. Naturally, your stay in Pokhara can be as long or as short as you have time and inclination. However, we suggest no less than two nights in this beautiful lake city.

If you have limited time, we suggest you take the 25-minute flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, arriving in time for breakfast by the lake! There is also the option of hiring your vehicle – great for families or small groups of friends – or taking the tourist bus. The road journey will take approximately 7 to 8 hours. Very interesting to do once but tiring if your stay in Pokhara is short. Aside from relaxing around the lake, maybe have a foot massage while gazing at the boats on the water. Also, a party in the bars and clubs - Pokhara has a lot of offer! On our organized tours, we will take you to the Peace Stupa on the ‘other side’ of the lake where you can look down on the full panorama of the lake, called Fewa, below. We will also take you to the following sites: David Falls, Gupteswor Cave, Mahendra Cave, Bat Cave, and boating on the lake! Hike or drive up to Sarangkot to watch the sunrise over the Himalayas. While on that subject, the tourist area of Lakeside is dominated by the view of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) as it is commonly known. Quite a stunning up-close-and-personal snow Mountain view with no hiking involved!

We can also include in your tour any of the other things on offer in Pokhara. Check out our Adventure section for the more adrenaline rush activities, or check out our Trekking section for information on treks out of Pokhara. Or ask us about any of the following:-
