This Grade V river is situated in the east of the country. To get there involves taking an hour’s flight (with mountain views!) to Tumlingtar.
Day 01: After flying from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar, set up camp and learn a bit from the raft guide about your trip. Or swap stories with your fellow adventurers around the campfire.
Day 02: After a leisurely breakfast, raft at a gradual pace to reach the banks of Sabiya Khola, where we stop for the night in preparation of a more strenuous day tomorrow.
Day 03: With rapids of Grade III and Grade IV, the excitement builds over the course of the trip until we reach Roaring River where we camp.
Day 04: And it just gets more exciting as we hit rapid after rapid today. Remember to listen to the instructions of your raft guide! We pass the suspension bridge at Ranighat and on to our campsite near the Blithe Rapid.
Day 05: Today we get a chance to recover from yesterday’s white water. As the river merges with the Sun Koshi River, the going gets easier and we can enjoy our surroundings until we reach the take-out point.
