Each individual hikers has its own way when it comes to packing.  And it is true most of us pack more then what we need. Well, for Everest Base Camp it doesn’t work like that. The more load you add on your solder, the more difficult it becomes your each steep in the high altitude. So consider packing light that way you will have higher chances to enjoy the trip rather worrying the load.

Day pack size

A day pack is needed as you start the trek right after breakfast. The size of the day pack can be about 25 to 35 liter. You should carry a passport. Permits, other essential documents, mobiles, camera, dry fruits water, snacks within that size of a day pack. Also, a first aid sanitary pads/ liners (for female). The total weight for the day pack should be 5 to 7 kg, between 25 to 30l in size. You are probably thinking why should I need a 30-liter bag when I am just carrying 7 kg?
