Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Annapurna Base Camp trek starts from Pokhara Nepal. About +100,000 trekkers hike Annapurna region every year. Annapurna base camp alone welcomes roughly +40,000 hikers each year. After Everest Base Camp, this trek is probably the second favorite hike among the trekkers. Even in ABC trek, there are many routes you can choose. Minimum 7 days to a maximum of 12 days would require to complete this trek.

Annapurna TrekOne of the favorite trails among the hikers is via Poon Hill, which required at least 12 days. Despite the fact that it is one of the scenic trails through the beautiful river George and high Himalayan jungle. Due to a long days before reaching the high altitude, this hike is also one of the safe to trek, which makes the altitude sickness possibilities less for the tourist.  It is relatively easy hikes that even the beginner can embark on this trail as a first time hiker. Annapurna with a maximum elevation of 4,170 m from sea level, passing via Fishtail Base Camp. The major attraction of the trek is hot spring pond in Jhinu, Poon hill (If you choose Poon hill route) and sunrise on Annapurna Base Camp.

 Annapurna Circuit Trek

Starting from Beshisahar and ending in Pokhara, Annapurna Circuit Trek makes a complete loop of the entire Annapurna Range. After the road construction, Annapurna circuit trek Itinerary could be designed in a minimum of 12 days to maximum up to 15 days with a side trip to Tilicho Lake.

Nar Phu Annapurna Circuit

 It is a high altitude trek that means a little harder compear to other trails in the Annapurna region, regarding altitude sickness. However, I have seen a lot of the first-time hikers who would attempt to conquer Thorong-La pass (5,454m) found no issue because of the gradual increment of the altitude.   It is the best time to undertake this trail from September to December in autumn and March to May in spring. Annapurna circuit trail is also well known for a Monsoon trek in Nepal. As it lies in the rain shadow part of the Himalayas Manang and Mustang area of Nepal is the less raining part of the country makes this trek perfect even in Monsoon June to August. The Major attractions of this trek are Thorong La Pass at the elevation of 5416 m from sea level, side trips to Tilicho Lake, Gangapurna, Muktinath, Kagbeni, etc.

Poon Hill Trek

Ghorepani Poonhill trek is also known as mini Annapurna circuit trek in Nepal. It is probably the shortest trek but most beautiful, Ghorepani Poonhill Trek is often known as Poonhill 5 Days Trek as it lasts for five days according to Ghorepani Poonhill Itinerary.

Ghorapani Poon Hill Trek

Starting and ending in Pokhara it will take to the highest elevation Poonhill at 3200 m from sea level and the best part of the trek with a fantastic sunrise over Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The trek starts from Pokhara and ends at Pokhara. The same trail goes to Annapurna Base camp; If you decided to make it short, you have to leave the main trail from Tadapani and continue towards the Ghandruk and Nayapul. Poon hill trek is an evergreen trail concerning the season. All year along hikers could be found in this trail. However, the best month could be September to December in autumn and March to May in spring. It is a relatively easy trek, as any hikers can do this trek who is good enough to walk a minimum of 6-7 hours a day.

Mardi Himal Trek

Mardi Himal Base Camp is an isolated part of the Annapurna Region. It has also been the alternative trail of Poon hill treks. Due to the less crude compear to Poonhill trek, there are more and more hikers being drowned in Mardi Himal each season. In recent days Mardi Himal base camp trek is not only famous for the tourist but also among the local tourist. Just further east to Annapurna Base Camp It is a perfect place to trek.

Mardi himal trek

The trek starts from Pokhara and ends at Pokhara last for 8-9 days. The view floating mountain above the clouds and amazing sunrise view is the key matter, to poke the eyes of the tourist. It is a relatively easy trek and evergreen trail in terms of the season. You can trek any month of the year, especially the dramatic view of clouds against with high towering mountain even makes a perfect destination during the monsoon of June to August.  If you are really looking for off the beaten short trail in Annapurna region, Mardi Himal trail is the one you should get in to. Any level of fitness hikers could take this trek easily.

Upper Mustang trek

The hidden world of the ancient Buddhist Kingdom, Upper Mustang is off the beaten trail in Nepal. Lies in the rain shadow part of the Himalaya, Mustang trek is best known as monsoon trek in Nepal. Due to the expensive Mustang trek permit fee of USD 500, this trek only welcomes +3,000 tourists every year.

Lo manthang

The trek starts from Pokhara and ends at Pokhara. You are required to fly from Pokhara to Jomsom and hike all the way to the Lo managing of 3,800m.  Mustang itinerary required at least 14 days forth and back. Including 10 days in the restricted area, you should allow 4 days to travel in and out to for this trek. Due to this trek doesn’t involve high altitude, it remains relatively moderate trail. Mustang trekking cost is the one which would scare hikers the most, but the hikers who have been in this area have given nothing but positive feedback.  Tiji festival in mid-May is the major festival in Lo-Manthang.  Praying for the word peace this festival lasts for 3 days. Hundreds of ancient human carved cave in the high cliff  Mountain and many of them haven’t even touched by human feet.  This is probably the main reason Upper Mustang trek is so expensive. The hikers who have been to Mustang said USD 500 is totally worth paying to visit this untouched world.
