Manaslu Trek Itinerary 17 Days

This is one of the classic Manaslu trek itineraries and probably the best we would recommend as you will spend more time in lower elevation area and have more interaction with local villagers.  Also, you do not need to worry about local transportation and some areas being impassable.  We think this itinerary is ideally best for families, senior citizens, and those who may not have enough trekking experience in high-elevation.  It is also good if you want to take your time exploring the Manaslu area.   Please find below our 17-days itinerary with the number of hours of travel required each day and the estimated elevation of the camp. However, Manaslu trek itinerary can be completed in different days and time frame fastest as 14 days and 22 days with Tsum Valley or as always everyone's choice 17 days Manaslu trek can be the best option if you have enough time.

I have been in the travel business for over a decade from being assistance guide to being a guide/leader to being a manager and finally a founder of NEST Adventure. So you could say, I know my way well enough in the Himalayas especially in some of the off-the-beaten trails in Nepal like Manaslu, Kanchenjunga or Mustang

I am passionate about travelling and I strongly believe that seeing the world shouldn't break the bank (at least not too much!).  I have backpacked to over 15 countries in Asia, Central Americas USA and Canada, one-third of Europe, Caribbean Island and  Latin America.

I studied in the UK and moved to the United States. During that period, I had an opportunity working with multinational companies which taught me, how to deliver quality customer service in the business? As a world travelling backpacker myself, and travel expert of Nepal Himalayas, I started writing about my own country.  Incase, If you required free information about Nepal, please do not hesitate to visit my office in Thamel. Hello,

We like to do the Manaslu trekking with 3 people from september 13 or 14.
  • Please can you give us a good price for 14 or 15 days trekking.
  • We read on the internet that you are exploring an alternative route, which follows the east of the river due to the landslides. Do you offer this alternative route as well?
  • Also what the difference is in price for a privat vehicle or public bus to the start.
  • We can consider trekking with other people, depending on the pricedifference and the kind of group.

We also consider rafting for 2 or 3 days.
  • Is this the good season?
  • what rafting would you suggest?
  • what will be the cost?
Hope to hear from you soon,

Greetings,

Anita and Frank Onwezen
The Netherlands

Hi Frank, Thank you so much for the comment, Regarding the alternative route, Yes, we did our survey but we found out there is still not enough sources to run the trip through the new trail. There is a lot of complication in new routes such as not enough food available for the homestay and a lot of homes are still being reconstruction after the earthquake and not enough to hold guest. The trail is much narrow and up to 900m ascend in one day makes the trip longer.  You can do a camping but camping for 3-4 days makes almost the same cost as 14 days tea house trek on a classical trek. SO at the moment, the cheapest option is to follow the same classical route.
Please open this link to find out the difference between public transportation and private jeep.
As of today, we don't have any group assign for 13 or 14th of September to join the group. I have sent you our offer in your private email, Please let us know if you have any questions.
Thank you
