Kanchenjunga Base Camp
Makalu Base Camp
Sandwiched in between Kanchenjunga and Everest Base Camp, very few trekkers explore the wild terrain beauty of Makalu. It is far west part of great himalayan trail and belongs to upper routes as trail from Makalu Base Camp traverse to Everest Region passing through elevation on 6200 m from sea level. Similar to its close neighbor Kanchenjunga it also used to camping trek on past where now days depending on weather condition and season time it can be done entirely on basis of teahouse approach. Lhotse Base Camp
Close, lets say almost attached to Mount Everest, Lhotse Base Camp is located on its south wall during trip to Island Peak Base Camp. Very few almost one or two group trek Lhotse Base Camp in a year where as some expedition team attempting Lhotse Climbing from South Ridge approach the base camp. It is a one-day trip from Chukung to go and came back to Chukung, as there are no fix accommodation and teahouses on Lhotse Base Camp. Instead of side trip to hill on Dingboche during Everest Base Camp Trek trip to Lhotse Base Camp can be ideal option. Small memorial with some prayers flag is built on south face of Lhotse Base Camp greeting all those brave souls attempting Lhotse Summit.
Everest Base Camp
Being highest mountain on the world, words are not enough to describe the beauty of Everest Region, i.e. Khumbu Valley. Before when there was no airport on Lukla it used to month long trek to Everest Base Camp from Jiri whereas now days with Lukla Airport trekking can be accomplished on two complete week with great ease and comfort. Since one cannot see Everest from its Base Camp, Kalapatthar Hill is really famous for viewpoint of Mighty Everest. Each year more than thirty thousand trekkers explore base camp of Everest some attempt more strenuous approach to Everest Base Camp with technical passes; quite famously know as Everest Three Pass Trek.
Cho-you Base Camp
Close west of Mount Everest, there lies another Eight Thousanders named Mount Cho-you. Tibetan people worship the mountain as tortoise goddess and are considered very holy. Although entire expedition to Lhotse is carried out from Tibetan Side there still exist a small tiny base camp on Nepal too. Adjacent to Khumbu Valley, Gokyo Valley is gateway to Cho-you Base Camp. From settlement of 3rd Lake on Gokyo Base Camp is almost around five six hour one-way walk passing through 4th, 5th and 6th Lake. Major highlight of trek is unique northwest face of Mount Everest. Similar to Lhotse very few people explore the region as one need to depend on pack lunch and very long as well as hard day although trail is very gentle and mostly flat.
Manaslu Base Camp
Quite easily approachable from Sama Gaun in Gorkha, Manaslu is established as best teahouse trek in Nepal. Apart for base camp people traverse Larke Pass and merge with Annapurna Circuit Trek on Lamjung District. Base Camp is next to settlement of Sama. Unique northwest face of Manaslu rises high above the ranges with soft and fresh snow. On north of Mount Manaslu there lies small glacial lake named Birendra Lake. Just next ridge to Lake trail gently rise above and end on glacial basin of mountain. Not to high almost around 4400 m from sea level this Manaslu Base Camp trip is perfect side trip from Manaslu Circuit Trekking.
Annapurna Base Camp

No doubt Annapurna Base Camp is one of easiest base camp trekking in Nepal. As it is located on elevation of 4100 m from sea level and can be complete within nine days itinerary it is very famous. Easy approach is another highlight of Annapurna Base Camp as short bus ride from Pokhara shift trekkers on start point of trek. Cozy accommodation and other available facility are unmatched to other region of Nepal. On the way trekkers with pass through Fishtail Base Camp too.
Dhaulagiri Base Camp
Further west of Annapurna Range, there lies a series of Dhaulagiri where Dhaulagiri I is the highest among all. Among any other base we had discussed above it is most challenging and technical as basic mountaineering skill are needed. French col and Dhampus Pass are most technical is term of terrain and slopes. Depending on weather fixed ropes might be needed to traverse. Trek cannot be accomplished depending on weather so one and only alternatives is camping with large crewmember. Depending on expedition period’s large settlement can be found on Dhaulagiri attempting the summit whereas rest period of year one might not encounter with other trekkers through the trail until reaching Jomsom and merging with Annapurna Circuit Trail.
