We Nepal Explore Summit Treks (P) Ltd. (NEST Adventure) organize a private day tour covering five major sightseeing places as below

  • Bouddhanath Stupa
  • Pashupatinath (Hindu Temple / Cremation Place)
  • Swoyambhunath (Monkey Temple)

Bouddhanath Stupa
One of the prettiest dome in entire Asia is located on the south eastern part of Kathmandu. The big white dome is surrounded on entire sides by local guest house, restaurant and handicraft as well as Thangka Paintings and singing bowl shops mostly operated by Tibetan origin people. Stupa area is home for Tibetan refugees who can be spotted circling the stupa chanting rhymes and rotating prayers wheel. Dazzling view of sparkling white dome is the major attraction as well as devotion of millions Buddhist people, so we highly recommend this attraction to be explored during day trip around Kathmandu.

Pashupatinath Temple
Located on the bank of holy Bagmati River Pashupatinath is the most holy temple for entire Hindu devotees among the world as it is considered as the head of God Shiva. Although main temple is restricted for Non – Hindu people one can explore around premise of temple where main attraction is cremation process of dead bodies. Funeral process of Hindu people is performed by burning the dead bodies instead of buried under soil so it is always interesting for foreigners. Standing as the neighbor of Bouddhanath it is quite close to International Airport of Nepal.

Swoyambhunath Temple
Located on the west of Thamel Swoyambhunath is hill station from where entire Kathmandu Valley can be observed, as well as because of presence of several monkeys it's also known as Monkey Temple. Three pole apart architecture can be seen from one spot as the main dome is stupa style, temple of Harati Azima in pyagoda style and Pratappur & Annantapur stands high in sikhar style at top of prominence. Apart from this Saraswoti Temple and Wish Pool is the major appeal of these sites. Finally Buddha Park in another attraction located in another end of hill also gateway for up toward the main dome.

Kathmandu Durbar Square
Starting from Kasthmandap (Famous architectural building made of wood supposed to be constructed with single tree's wood without any other supplemental wood) heading toward Kumari Ghar (Living Goddess's Residential Premises) further traversing to famous museum of Hanuman Dokha Durbar Square inspecting weapons of late king from Nepal, their tradition inside the royal palace, lifestyle of royal family and inner architecture of palace and aerial view of Basantapur Dabali are the most too watch. After that famous deity of Kal Bhairav as well as close up head of White Bhairav are major attractions. Other major sites are Taleju Bhawani, Big Bell, Round Temple, Big Drums, Local market of Ason and so on. Kathmandu Durbar Square full of very famous architecture and other historic monuments is walking distance from Thamel so normally we attend this in the last part of day so that we can walk around the Thamel passing via local markets where lots of street vendor can be found selling local commodities and goods.

Patan Durbar Square
Ancient royal palace of Malla King in Lalitpur is named as Patan Durbar Square which is fully constructed on Newa architecture with floor carpeted by red bricks. Patan Industrial area is very famous for manufacturing Pashmina, Singing Bowl, Sculpture, Wooden work in large wholesale scale. Along with this other famous architectures in durbar square are Krishna Mandir, Bhimsen Mandir, Taleju Bhawani Temple, Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk, Golden Temple, Banglamukhi Temple and Kumbeshwor Pond. Along with Ashok Pillar and other Mahabihar as well as Kumari Ghar are the major attractions within premises of square. Time And Itinerary For Kathmandu Day Tour
Kathmandu One Day Sightseeing Tour, One entire day can be spent exploring ancient architecture of Kathmandu however we would love too figure out the approximate time span too spent on each place however it is not mandatory as one is always free to spent the time in area where he/she want to spent as someone might like Bouddhanath instead of Pashupatinath so in such case with mutual understanding timespan can be reallocated. In general at morning around 9:00 o’clock local time we will introduce you with driver and your tour guide, after brief introduction section around 9:30 o’clock in morning you will leave for Swoyambhunath (Monkey Temple) which take around 30 min from Thamel, So at 10:00 o’clock you will be in Swoyambhunath. Around one hour is more than enough to explore the territory of Swoyambhunath. At 11:00 o’clock you will be heading to Bouddha, which take another 30:00 minutes to reach and another 1 hour to explore, and another thing Bouddha is pretty small area so better to have Lunch, so not late by 12:30 you will finished exploring Bouddhanath. From Bouddha next destination will be Pashupatinath which is close by almost around 15 min drive and next 45 minute is more than enough to explore which mean not late by 1:30 you will explore entire Pashupatinath area. After Pashupatinath next destination will be Patan Durbar Square that takes around 30 min drive so at 2:00 o’clock you will be in Patan. Approximately 1 and half hour is more than enough to explore Patan Durbar Square and from there Kathmandu Durbar Square is next 30:00 min drive which indicated that at out last destination Kathmandu Durbar Square we will be there at 4:00 o’clock. So with doing any late first we will explore museum and start walk around Kathmandu Durbar Square, lets allocates 2 hour timespan in Kathmandu Durbar Square and by the end we will walk around to Thamel passing via local market of Ason and Indrachowk which takes around 30 min and including this time we will be Thamel around 6:15 o’clock in the evening and Private Day Trip in Kathmandu Valley is over with some cultural dinner near by Thamel.
